John C. Santora currently serves as Vice Chairman and President of the Tri-State Region for Cushman & Wakefield, a global commercial real estate services company. Previously he served as Global Chief Operating Officer and Chief Integration Officer. A 41-year veteran of the firm, he is responsible for driving forward the execution of Cushman & Wakefield’s strategic plan in the New York Tristate region. As Mr. Santora stated in a NEW YORK TIMES article recently, “In my first job at Cushman and Wakefield I was an engineer’s helper in a building. It was a summer job and I never left. My first management job was when I managed one or two small buildings in Manhattan. So I went from the engine room to the board room.”
One of the commercial real estate industry’s most experienced global executives, John has relationships with leading executives of key multinational clients. Prior to the integration of C&W, he was CEO of North America, which was C&W’s largest global operating region. During this time he further integrated service lines in the regions across Leasing, Capital Markets, Valuation & Advisory and CIS. John was a member of Cushman & Wakefield’s Board of Directors for 20 years.
John currently sits on the Board of Richmond University Medical Center and the RUMC Foundation Board, as well as, the FDNY Foundation.
John is a fellow of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School, Chairman of the Realty Advisory Board, a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), a member of the Board of Governors of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), and a member of the Board of Trustees for Local 32BJ-Health and Benefit Funds.
