Orthopedics Defined

Orthopedics is the branch of medicine that focuses on the musculoskeletal system, which includes the bones, muscles, joints, ligaments, and tendons. It also encompasses sports medicine, which helps treat bodily injuries caused by physical activity.

Meet the Doctors

Our team of trusted orthopedic surgeons with the experience needed to diagnose and treat a diverse array of conditions effectively and efficiently  includes:

  • Mark Brandon, M.D.: Brandon is the first and only physician on Staten Island to perform reverse shoulder replacements for irreparable rotator cuff repairs or tears. He is board-certified and completed his medical degree at Columbia University.
  • Nadubeethi Jayaram, MD .: Fellowship trained in hand and microvascular surgery. Specializes in complex hand, wrist, and elbow problems.
