Anthony Basile, DNP, RN, CCRN, SCRN

Assistant Vice President, Critical Care

Anthony joined Richmond University Medical Center in his current position in 2022. Originally from Staten Island, he has over 20 years of nursing experience, having held several leadership positions throughout his career. He started his career at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn as a staff nurse in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit. After gaining years of experience, he became a Nurse Clinician and became the overnight Nurse Clinician for Maimonides Rapid Response Team. Years later, he transitioned to Nurse Manager for Maimonides’s Medical Intensive Care Unit. Anthony left Maimonides to become Patient Care Director for various units at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. While at New York Presbyterian, Anthony was fortunate to participate in the hospital’s inaugural Magnet Journey and Survey, earning several exemplars for work accomplished and gaining the prestigious Magnet Designation. 

Anthony holds several nursing degrees, and earned his Doctorate in Nursing Practice in 2016. He is also certified as a Critical Care Registered Nurse and Stroke Certified Registered Nurse.
