Rev. Lester J. Figueroa, Esq.

Lester J. Figueroa began practicing practice Iaw in July 1984, and in January 1990, became a partner at Borah, Goldstein, Altschuler, Nahins & Goidel, P.C. where he has been employed since 1984.

Lester has been an active advocate of civil rights and leadership developments throughout his adult life. In 1993, Lester helped establish the Latino Civic Association, a not-for-profit that services the growing Hispanic community on Staten Island.

In 2001, Lester became an Associate Pastor at International Christian Center on Staten Island, which became a strong, vibrant and growing Hispanic congregation.

In 2008, Lester became lead Pastor of Calvary Assembly of God, becoming its eighth pastor. At the time, Calvary’s membership and attendance had declined. Today, Calvary’s membership and attendance has increased, the church holds four services every Sunday, holds mid-week classes, and a prayer and healing service every Friday. Calvary also hosts a food pantry, serving more than 300 families from across the borough.

Lester was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and studied at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, where he completed his undergraduate and post graduate degrees in Political Science, International Relations, and Public and Private Administration and Law. He is also a graduate of Ministerial Studies from Global University and is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God.

Lester has been married to his loving wife Melba for over 40 years.
