Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Patient Safety, Infection Prevention, Language Services and Patient Relations

Robert has been working in safety, quality, performance improvement and survey readiness since 2009. After graduating from Widener University School of Law with his Juris Doctorate, he started out working on Safety policies and procedures on a contractor basis and was then hired in-house by Saint Peter’s University Healthcare System. While at Saint Peter’s Robert took on several roles quickly moving up to Manager of Continuous Survey Readiness.

He served as chairperson, Joint Commission Steering Committee and built the infrastructure of the Survey Readiness Program. Working diligently the program was integrated the throughout the system. This program directly lead to a reduction in citations from the previous surveys. In addition, to the traditional survey readiness functions he has been a team leader on FMEA risk assessments, comprehensive performance improvement projects, Target Solutions Tools implementation and numerous risk assessments. With foundation of success to build on Robert took on new responsibilities including Clinical Effectiveness, Physician Gainsharing and system wide Performance Improvement. He led and facilitated the Root Cause Analysis process, event response, risk mitigation and corrective action activities. During this time he also was honored to be Co-Chair of Policies and Procedures Committee, Co-Chair of Patient Safety Committee and have a role on the Institutional Review Board among various other leadership responsibilities. Robert joined Richmond University Medical Center in 2021 as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Patient Safety, Infection Prevention, Language Services and Patient Relations.
