General Gynecologic Surgery:

Our team of board-certified gynecologic surgeons manage a wide variety of procedures dealing with the female reproductive tract utilizing the latest technologies available through conventional and minimally invasive approaches. The procedures address various conditions affecting the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, cervix, vagina, and vulva. Common procedures include hysterectomy, oophorectomy, salpingectomy, sterilization, myomectomy, endometrial ablation, hysteroscopic resection, cervical procedures, pelvic floor repair and reconstruction, minimally invasive and robotic surgeries. Our team is prepared to manage and treat all gynecologic conditions aimed to promote the health and wellness of all women.

Gynecology Oncology:

The Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Richmond University Medical Center offers comprehensive management of gynecologic cancers and precancerous conditions, as well as the surgical management of non-cancerous conditions. The team of gynecologic oncologists at RUMC headed by Dr. Fady Khoury-Collado are highly experienced in complex laparoscopic and robotic surgery and offer an individualized multidisciplinary approach to patient care by collaborating with their colleagues in the divisions of radiation oncology, hematology-oncology, and surgical oncology.

Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility:

The team of fertility specialists are highly experienced in the medical and surgical management of fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic pain, and fertility sparing and enhancing surgery. Dr. Michael Traub is the Director of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at RUMC and is highly skilled in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, having performed over 1500 robotic surgeries in his career.

Urogynecology:

The Urogynecology services at RUMC, headed by Dr. Sovrin Shah of the Mount Sinai Health System, provides treatment for women who have overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapses and other problems affecting women’s urinary and sexual health. They utilize the latest technological advances for the diagnosis and treatment of these issues using minimally invasive approaches whenever possible. Some types of treatment include urethral sling surgery, urethral bulking, bladder Botox, sacral nerve stimulation (SNS), percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) and vaginal surgery.
