I recently went here to the emergency room, but I went again yesterday for a procedure. Each time I had a wonderful experience. The hospital was very clean. Each and every staff member that I encountered was exceptionally kind and professional. I can’t say enough good things about this hospital.

Excellent service they treat patients with love, and they all are so kind. They have taken good care of my dad since he is there.

Dr. (Lina) Leykina is an exceptional endocrinologist who consistently provides outstanding care. She is incredibly patient, knowledgeable and takes the time to address my concerns with a clear explanation. I feel very confident in her expertise and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a top-notch doctor.

I cannot thank Dr. Ahmed and his amazing team of physicians for helping my 3 year old son feel better after being diagnosed with RSV. He was super gentle with my son who was extremely fussy and was able to treat him and feeling better. They were super-fast and up to date with everything. This was one of the best hospitals we’ve been to. From the reception in the front to the security guards, everyone was super friendly and all wished for my son to feel better. Sometimes it’s the little things that really help lift people up. Thank you again Dr. Ahmed and team. We are forever grateful.

I just got back from having a procedure at RUMC and I could not have been treated any better. From the moment I walked in, every staff member I encountered was friendly and competent. Nurse Kevin did my paperwork and checked me in. He was compassionate, professional, and made me feel at ease. All of the nurses that were part of my procedure were incredible (Allison, Lil, and Roseanne). They made sure I was comfortable both during the procedure and in recovery, and you can tell that they really care about their patients. My doctor (Dr. Yiachos) is excellent. He explained everything and came to see me after to let me know that everything went well. Thank you for making an unpleasant procedure so much easier!

Dr Rotatori and Marisa Semioli, NP were just amazing. They took the time to help me understand things that were never clearly explained to me before. That NP is going places! I can’t wait to say I knew her when.

We were given Sophia 3 days ago. It’s an amazing hospital. A very professional and friendly team. We would like to send a very big thank you to our great doctor, Eman Sultan. She was very professional and very kind with us as well as her professional team (Dr. Lau, an anesthesiologist Dr. Riso and our great nurses Julia and Christina). Also, we send a big thank you and appreciation to the team after delivery , they were all the best (doctors, nurses, housekeepers). Unfortunately, we do not remember the names. Finally, our great appreciation for Ms. Mena from the birth certificates department, she was very nice with us and gave us all the information, support and guidance to the next process.

It Is always a pleasure talking to Dr. Faravash. She listen to us and it is very pleasant to see a doctor that makes you feel confident and comfortable. I would definitely give her a 10!

This is our family’s second experience with a C-section birth. From the minute we stepped in, the security guard wanted to help us with our bags and everyone we encountered was pleasant and helpful. Dr. Benson and staff were flawless in their execution. The post operation nurses and doctors were professional and accommodative. We had specific issues that needed extra care and I believe everyone went above and beyond to help us. Thank you RUMCSI!

If it wasn’t for Dr. (Dara) Fedele with the Breast and Imaging Center, I would have ended up with a SECOND unnecessary surgery. She recommended a prone table and my biopsy took 20 minutes, tops. The techs were also great and the front desk was fantastic.

My newborn had jaundice and then his labs were not satisfactory. Dr. K. McDonough was amazing, explaining everything throughout the process. When my son’s labs were not getting back to normal, he took it upon himself and arranged for immediate appointments with related specialists. He took so much burden off my shoulders. It meant a lot, and I’m very grateful.

On September 5 of last year I suffered a terrible fall.  I had two large lumps on my head that were bleeding down my face, my right leg was very swollen and painful and I could not stand or walk. I was taken the trauma unit and was quickly surrounded by nurses who were joined by a doctor. Every one of them was professional and kind. Their professionalism and kindness helped me stay calm. I had many tests and it was discovered that my hip was broken and I had massive internal bleeding. Dr. Jayram explained how serious my injury was. He said he wanted to start blood transfusions and operate quickly. He promised to do it that evening and he stayed late and did. It was important to me that I acknowledge the wonderful care I got. God bless them all and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I guess it was our lucky day. We walked into the emergency room and everyone was extremely helpful. Doctors were on the top of their game and kept an eye on my son.

Was in the ER and had the most wonderful, kind, compassionate and caring physician’s assistant in the world. Hany Yousef was amazing. More doctors should be like him. RUMC is lucky to have a doctor like him. Thank you Hany for everything you did. God Bless you.

Dr. Philip Otterbeck is the consummate professional. He’s extremely knowledgeable, professional, courteous and kind. An absolute pleasure to deal with.

I love this hospital. I gave birth to all my children here. The staff are very nice and on point. I feel safe, it’s clean and spacious.

I went for an ambulatory procedure with Dr. Frank J. Lacqua and I have never felt so welcomed, taken care of and comfortable. The whole staff from beginning to end were very professional as well as personable and kind hearted. If I were to mention a few names I might add Amelia Piccione and Nurse Anesha were extremely caring and went above and beyond. They were very thorough in giving me instructions and addressing any concerns I had with respect to my after-care when leaving.

The hospital, including the front desk and security, should be awarded a gold medal. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU all so much for showing me

My mother-in-law was admitted for 8 days. I can’t put into words how great the entire team of nurses, social workers, case managers, etc., are on the 4th floor. My mother-in-law raved about how great and friendly everyone was, took their time with her (she is a fall risk) and managed her care until she was well enough to go home. They arranged for her to have a walker and recliner (which arrived the next day) when she got home and made sure her after-care with VNASI was coordinated and ready to go. At discharge her aftercare program, medications, and scheduled appointments were carefully explained to her and as she said to me on the ride home, “they treated me with such dignity and were so friendly.” I wanted to especially single out Kiara Lorenzana, Catherine Rodriguez, and Ievgenia Cherkes for all their help. They truly went above and beyond! My wife, mother-in-law and I are deeply grateful for the team on the fourth floor!

I recently had an angiogram. I want to commend the staff from registration to release. I was attended to within 10 minutes of arrival. Big Val getting the IV’s ready, Wilma taking all my information while the team was doing their thing. Cannot forget the “operating team” led by the excellent Bhavesh Gala and the mystery doctor who assisted doctor Gala along with Maryann. Thank you Susan, Joel, Donna, and Jennifer who watched over me until release. Thank you all.

Dr. Parisi and his staff are amazing and very wonderful/kind people. I have been seeing Dr. Parisi for over 15 years now. He’s a very nice, polite, and professional doctor who is also extremely good at his job and very knowledgeable. He answers all questions you may have and explains everything to you in a great way. You don’t get confused with doctor lingo or anything of that sort. He also makes sure you understand everything that he has gone over with you before you leave his office to ensure you got it all down and understood properly. Extremely great doctor and definitely recommended.

The staff and atmosphere is amazing. I experienced a heart attack 6/7. The docs, nurses, and techs made me feel safe and comfortable. I recommend RUMC. Love y’all.

I don’t know what, if any, special recognitions are awarded to RUMC’s resident doctors, but for the extraordinary care, concern, and gentle bedside manner he provided to both my husband and me during such a difficult, stressful time, I would nominate Joseph Picone for Resident of the Year.

Dr. Peter Stathopoulos is an excellent physician. He is thorough and kind and caring. I have had wonderful care from him. The office staff is considerate and helpful. I highly recommend this facility.”

I have to say, for an ER, and I have been to a few over the years, this was the most pleasant experience I have ever had. I appreciate that all the staff was courteous, respectful, and kind. Some more than others but we never felt dismissed, ignored, or disrespected in any way, quite the opposite. The place looked clean and taken care of. Hopefully, I won’t have to go there anytime soon, but if I have to, I’ll feel content and at ease, knowing that the nursing staff, and the doctors are there to help me.”

My son got hurt at a party close to another SI hospital. No one would give a definitive answer as to what happened. They just sent him out with an ace bandage. The following day we went to RUMC. He was treated very quickly. He had a broken ankle which was addressed immediately. The nurses and doctors were very attentive and caring. My son is eight years old and was in a lot of pain and very scared. Highly recommend going right to RUMC for issues and not wasting time in any of the other Staten Island hospitals.

The staff were caring, personable and wonderful to our mother and our family. They checked on us regularly and didn’t rush us when we had multiple questions. They made sure that everything was at our fingertips, especially Nikki DeRosa, Nick Gentilella, Alyssa Meeker and Jennie Colon.”

We are reaching out to you because we want to acknowledge two highly professional paramedics who we are so grateful for who came to our aid on December 12, 2023. Paramedics Sonny Hodge and Jeff Brown answered our 911 call for help with our mom Catherine Russo who is 90 years old. Our mom was critical and very scared, and these two fine gentlemen were not only medically skilled, but they were kind, courteous and went above and beyond in treating our mom (mother in-law ) with concern , respect and dignity. They truly represented RUMC for the caring family medical facility it truly is.

I had a good experience with them at the birth of my baby son in January 2023!!!!

Excellent visit. Was in and out in 1 hour for an echocardiogram. Expected to be there much longer. Greeted with a smile by everyone I had interaction with which made me feel very comfortable and at ease.

Four years ago I had to have orthopedic surgery. Dr. (Mark) Brandon was the surgeon on for that weekend. If it wasn’t for that careful and excellent surgery, I wouldn’t be walking so well today. The nurses also gave me excellent care along with the medical residents and all the other staff. The nurses and doctors are different, by that I mean kinder and more attentive to each patient. I know this to be true because I experienced it first hand.

I went into the new emergency department and had a great experience. From the valet parking to the triage nurses, it was unbelievable. The new facility is state of the art and the nurses are great! It’s about time Staten Island has a great hospital like this! I drove from across the island… I’m glad I did! Great job RUMC!

I would like to say thank you to the amazing nurses at RUMC. I watched with my own eyes nurses save lives. Just imagine that someone who you don’t know does everything in their power to save your life? My mom had a very serious surgery a few days ago. Everyone was so attentive, so nice, so kind and understanding. I am forever grateful to the amazing nurses who selflessly help others. Thank you to Jean, Dawn, Mary, Lucy, Nicole and many more who I didn’t meet personally. You are amazing!

I have never wrote a review before, but I felt compelled to write this one. One week ago I arrived at RUMC with health issues. I must say I was greeted the moment I stepped in the door. I was quickly registered and in triage in a matter of moments. Keep in mind this was the morning after the super bowl so I figured I would be sitting for hours…LOL. From there to a room much quicker than anticipated. I cannot thank everyone enough from the housekeeping unit to all the doctors that work so hard. I also really want to thank all the nurses and staff on the fourth floor. They are second to no one. As busy as they are they managed to care for my every need and somehow make me feel like I was their only patient as busy as they are. Thank you again for professionalism!

I am writing to give you a truly heartfelt thank you for your haste and efficiency during my delivery. I had given birth to my other children naturally and had no idea what to expect going into surgery. However, the staff tended to me and my son quickly and did their best to ensure a speedy recovery for us.

I had the pleasure to be a patient at RUMC  during my labor and delivery and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there; I am writing to show my gratitude and appreciation for the whole stuff that was attending me, the housekeeping department as well and especially the housekeeper Lejla Bilali, who was not only keeping my room clean and spotless, but also did I wonderful job on fulfilling all my needs as a patient, she was just around the corner when I needed her. A staff member with wonderful communication skills that always made me feel warm and welcomed every time she  was doing her job or when she offered her help. I am enormously grateful that I had the chance to meet such hardworking staff member that made my postpartum stay there much more easy and happy. 

Thank you for helping us welcome our sweet baby boy into this world.

Good Day, I am writing this email  to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the staff of the SICU, specifically RN’s  Veronica and Jimmy.  They were extremely professional  taking care of my husband during his stay in the SICU. They took their time to answer any questions that I had whether in person or via the phone.   On one day in particular,when Jay was having increased difficulty with his breathing, Veronica was attentive and advocated for him.  Her actions prevented him from having to be intubated.  

Being an  RN myself, I appreciated their knowledge and expertise during his stay there.  

You consider yourselves lucky to have these nurses on your staff.

I’m so grateful that after at least 14 urologists, Dr. Motta diagnosed the problem and actually gave me the correct medication. I couldn’t be more grateful for their staff. They have helped me so much.

I had a fantastic experience at Richmond University Medical Center. The staff was friendly and attentive and I’m really grateful to them. Also, I highly recommend Dr. Kuczabski. He was extremely empathetic to my unique situation and worked to book my procedure as soon as possible. He was helpful throughout every step and answered all of my questions, and I had a lot! Also, my scar will be smaller than I ever thought possible.
