Chief of Orthopedic Surgery and Chief of Orthopedic Trauma
Dr. Issack is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He completed a medical scientist training program earning M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the New York University Graduate School of Arts and Science as well as an M.D. degree from the New York University School of Medicine. He then completed internship and residency training in Orthopedic surgery at the New York University Medical Center-Hospital for Joint Diseases/Bellevue Hospital in New York City. He then completed clinical fellowship training in Metabolic Bone Diseases/Orthopedic Oncology, Adult Reconstructive Joint Surgery, Orthopedic Trauma Surgery and Spine/Scoliosis Surgery, all at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Dr. Issack also completed a M.S. in Health Quality and Safety at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Issack is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Orthopedic Association and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, the Orthopedic Trauma Association and the Orthopedic Research Society. He has authored over 50 publications on the topics of joint replacement, spine surgery and orthopedic trauma and has lectured on the above topics at numerous scientific meetings. Dr. Issack specializes in hip and knee replacement, spine surgery and fracture surgery.
