The Rev. Dr. Tony Baker has been the Pastor of St. Philip’s Baptist Church since 1996. He serves on the executive boards of Project Hospitality, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and the Executive Board of the American Baptist Churches of Metropolitan New York. In addition, Rev. Baker is Vice President of the Community Health Center of Richmond, Executive Director of the William A. Epps Community Center and a founding member of the Anti-Violence Task Force. Rev. Baker received a Master of Divinity and a doctorate from New York Theological Seminary. He taught at Port Richmond High School, Staten Island, and served 20 years in the United States Army. He and his wife have two children.
