Cancer Awareness Campaign

Home » About » Cancer Awareness Campaign

Every year, millions of people are diagnosed with cancer throughout the United States. As researchers and doctors continue to work hard to find better treatment options, you can help, too. Join Richmond University Medical Center as we raise awareness for this debilitating disease. While raising awareness alone won’t uncover the cure for cancer, it will get more people talking about it. Discover ways you can help during the RUMC Cancer Awareness Campaign.

Spreading the Word

Raising cancer awareness helps patients, their loved ones, and anyone who might be affected by cancer now and in the future. It’s a great way to start the conversation about prevention, warning signs and early detection. Take the opportunity to talk to your friends, family, and coworkers about risk factors, and urge them to consult a doctor about cancer screenings. With more awareness comes more lives saved and more funding to support cancer research.

How to Participate in the Cancer Awareness Campaign

To help raise awareness, RUMC is offering free cancer pins. Request one and wear it proudly on your shirt, bag, or lanyard. All you have to do is enter your information in the form below. The pins are designed to represent some of the most common types of cancer. Select the one that you feel needs more awareness or one that you personally feel strongly connected to.
