At Richmond University Medical Center, we serve our community with high quality inpatient and outpatient services. Internationally recognized specialists direct our reproductive medicine center, and we operate a high-risk pregnancy center for women requiring special care. In addition, our neonatal intensive care center boasts one of the highest survival rates in the city.

In addition, our Emergency Department is a Level 1 Trauma Center, led by Emergency Medical Associates, leaders in emergency medicine in the metropolitan area. Our hospital has 440 acute care beds and is a New York State designated Stroke Center.

RUMC EMTs lauded by Borough President

After an assault left Richmond University Medical Center EMTs Luis Feliciano and Perry Kennedy hospitalized, the duo vowed to get back to work. Upon entering a Stapleton apartment recently, the two emergency medical technicians were allegedly attacked. After being treated at the hospital, both men are back to work, caring for the community when they need it.

Upon hearing this, Borough President James P. Molinaro decided to laud the two with a ceremony at Borough Hall on Feb. 28, proclaiming it EMT Heroes Day. As a surprise, the Borough President also allocated funds for a brand new ambulance to be added to RUMC's fleet. The new arrival is expected in July
