Rewards and Recognition  

Our goal at RUMC is simple: Service excellence – for every patient, every time.  

But getting to that goal is not simple, and it requires the participation of each employee.  

We are all responsible for creating the environment we want at RUMC, through our interactions with both patients and colleagues; every employee is the face of RUMC. At RUMC, we acknowledge the work our employees do to achieve service excellence with an ongoing program of rewards and recognition. Any manager can nominate an employee who consistently demonstrates RUMC standards for a Service Excellence pin. Employees who are nominated by three different managers become eligible for the RUMC Star Award. A monthly magazine, Expressions of Appreciation, compiles the positive comments submitted about individual employees, whether from co-workers or from patients and their families.  

These are just some of the ways we encourage every RUMC employee to help us all reach our goal, every day.
