Last night, all RUMC EMTs completed training of how to administer Naloxone, an intranasal drug credited for saving the lives of heroin overdoses. RUMC’s EMTs are the first in New York City’s 911 system to be fully trained and carrying Naoloxone, a step we took to protect our community and stem the rise of overdoses seen in our borough.

Look for us on NY1 as we announce some great news! As of tonight at midnight, all RUMC EMTs will be trained in and carrying Naloxone, credited as a life saving for heroin overdoses. We are the first citywide in the 911 system to take this important step to stem the rise of overdoes in our borough.
