Joseph Conte, Sr. Vice President for
Regulatory, Quality, Risk & Legal Affairs

 

Mr. Conte is a highly regarded leader in the area of health care quality management and administration. During his career Mr. Conte has held a wide array of administrative duties involving risk management, quality performance improvement, care management systems and planning at a number of area medical centers, including St. Luke’s Roosevelt and the Beth Israel Medical Center. He joined the North Shore LIJ Health system in 1998, and was designated Chief Quality Officer at Staten Island University Hospital in 2000, and Senior Vice President of Quality Management for the Health System in 2006. Most recently, Mr. Conte served as Executive Vice President, Corporate Services for Catholic Health Services of Long Island.

Mr. Conte is a member of the Long Island Patient Information Exchange, a Director of the American Parkinson’s Disease Association, and formerly President of  the Association of Healthcare Risk Management of New York, and Chairman, Insurance Professional Advisory Group, FOJP Service Corp.

Mr. Conte is a graduate of New York University where he attained both his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree, and a Masters of Public Administration in Health Policy Analysis. He is published in journals and authored a chapter in Medical Informatics: An Executive Primer, Second Edition. Mr. Conte is an Assistant Professor at Wagner College and an Adjunct at Columbia University School of Public Health. He is a resident of Staten Island.
