Michael Breslin, Chief Financial Officer
& Executive Vice President

Mr. Breslin is a highly regarded leader in the area of health care operations and finance having served as Partner in the Manhattan Office of Ernst and Young and as a senior executive with a number of  major healthcare facilities in the New York area. During his tenure at Ernst and Young, Mr. Breslin served as the lead partner responsible for coordinating all aspects of accounting, auditing, tax and consulting services provided to some of the largest academic medical centers and healthcare systems in the country.

In 2005, Mr. Breslin was appointed as Chief Financial Officer for Lenox Hill Hospital, where he directed a major financial turnaround ultimately leading to that institution’s acquisition by the North Shore LIJ Health System in 2010. Most recently, Mr. Breslin has served as Vice President for the North Shore – LIJ Health System in Manhasset, Long Island.

Mr. Breslin has experience in all aspects of healthcare finances, including financial reporting, internal controls, tax-exempt financing, feasibility studies, cost reporting, mergers and acquisition due diligence, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and tax matters. He is a member of the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut State societies of Certified Public Accountants, and has served as the Chairman of the New Jersey State Society of Certified Public Accountants Healthcare Subcommittee.

Mr. Breslin is a graduate of Manhattan College, and resides in Belle Harbor, New York.
