The Epilepsy Center
Adult & Child Epilepsy Program
The Epilepsy Center at the Richmond University Medical Center consists of a team of experienced health care and adjunct professionals who are committed to providing comprehensive care management to children and adults with epilepsy on Staten Island.
The Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group (NEREG) includes epileptologists (neurologists with special expertise in epilepsy), neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, nurse practitioners, educational and occupational counselors, case managers and EEG technologists. We conduct a state-of-the-art evaluation to help us reach a definitive diagnosis. We then provide the best treatment options based on test results and a thorough discussion with the patients, caregivers and their referring physicians.
We provide outpatient and inpatient consultation for patients with epilepsy or those with a suspicion of epilepsy. Two office locations are available for outpatient services on Staten Island. Inpatient services are provided at the RUMC Epilepsy Unit.
