Edward L. Arsura, M.D., MS, Ed.D., FACP, CPE
Senior Vice President & Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Arsura serves as Chief Medical Officer, Chairman of the Department of Medicine and, as Associate Dean of New York Medical College, oversees the teaching program at RUMC. He is a Certified Physician Executive, a member of both the Medical Executive Committee at RUMC and the Provost Council at New York Medical College. Chairman of the Graduate Medical Education Committee at the hospital, Dr. Arsura is a member of the Richmond County Medical Society and the Society of Hospital Medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.
A Professor of Clinical Medicine at New York Medical College and an Adjunct Professor of Clinical Medicine with the State University New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn, Dr. Arsura is passionate about teaching young physicians. He is a graduate of the University of Bologna, Italy, and completed an Internal Medicine residency at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, where he was subsequently named Resident of the Year, then Chief Resident, then Teacher of the Year for the next four consecutive years. |
